A car wash removes what's sitting on the surface. Auto detailing removes what's bonded to it, then protects what's underneath.

That difference matters more than most people realize. Paint accumulates contamination that washing can't touch — industrial fallout, rail dust, tree sap, brake dust, and mineral deposits from sprinklers and hard water. Left alone, those etch into the clear coat and stop being a cleaning problem.

Interiors go the same way. Oils absorb into leather, grit grinds into carpet fibers, and a film builds on the inside of the glass that you only notice when the sun hits it at the wrong angle.

A real detail addresses all of it: decontamination, deep cleaning, and a protective layer that makes the next wash easier and slows the damage down.

Interior Car Detailing

Interiors take more abuse than paint and get a fraction of the attention. Kids, pets, coffee, and years of sun through the windshield.

Our interior detailing covers deep vacuuming of every surface, dashboard and center console cleaning, all vinyl and plastic surfaces, leather cleaning and conditioning, air vent cleaning, interior glass, headliner spot cleaning, and carpet or upholstery shampooing when the condition calls for it.

Pet hair is its own category. If you have a shedding dog, tell us when you book — it adds time and we'd rather plan for it than surprise you at pickup.

For long-term interior protection, we install interior ceramic coating in 3, 5, and 7-year tiers. Spills bead up instead of soaking in, and UV protection keeps leather and plastics from fading and cracking.

Most of our detailing happens at customers' homes and offices. We bring water, power, and everything else. You don't have to be there — plenty of people leave the keys and go back to work.

Straight talk

When Detailing Isn't the Answer

Detailing cleans and protects. It does not remove defects that are already in the paint.

If your clear coat has swirl marks, oxidation, or water-spot etching, that's paint correction — machine polishing that levels the clear coat and removes the defect instead of hiding it behind filler. Most "detail" packages that promise to remove swirls are using glaze that washes out in a month.

How much does auto detailing cost in Chattanooga?

Our packages start at $125 and run to $225 and up depending on vehicle size and condition. Trucks, SUVs, and vehicles that haven't been detailed recently take longer and price accordingly. We quote before we start — no surprises at pickup.

How long does a car detail take?

One to two hours for a basic refresh, two to four for complete care, three to four for a full restoration. Heavily soiled vehicles take longer.

How often should I get my car detailed?

Two to three times a year for most drivers, with maintenance washes in between. If you park outside, drive a lot of highway miles, or have kids and pets, closer to quarterly.

What's the difference between detailing and a car wash?

A wash removes loose dirt. A detail removes bonded contamination, cleans the interior properly, and leaves protection behind. A wash is maintenance. A detail is a reset.

Do I need to be home for mobile detailing?

No. Many customers leave the keys and go to work. We need access to the vehicle and enough room to work around it.

Will detailing remove scratches?

Light surface scratches in the clear coat often polish out. Anything you can catch a fingernail in has gone through the clear coat and needs more than detailing. We'll tell you honestly which one you have before we start.

Do you offer paint protection film?
